They're also quite scattered. I've downloaded Blender, Milkshape, CAS Texture Unitool, S3OC and S3PE along with numerous plugins and helpers, but I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by them. Since most of the guides focus on "make this specific thing" and don't go into detail on WHY you do each step, it's hard to progress from that to making your own new content. Can anyone suggest a better method for learning how to do this?

From the lessons we learn from it we can make a plan to move forward with 3d.

I find mmf helps with productivity and allows me to explore ideas in a very visual way that is pretty unique in game making software. One area that could be easier is reuse of graphics, events and logic across many frames. I have settled in a work flow of global objects and event behaviours which help especially with spreading one version of events across many frames. What can we expect in Fusion 3 that will make working across many frames easier? Fusion 3 is being written from the ground up, and your global event, objects, qualifier issue is one of the driving forces behind that. We do have a Global Event section currently in MMF2 and CF2.5 though.

And how many games are made each month? Any ideas? Commercially released is about maybe 6-10 a month on various platforms, much more for just projects published to the internet. This number is constantly growing. Our user community on our forums is in the 1000s and very active. only thing missing is you!

Not to butt in, it'll be a little while before I get CF2.5 but this got my curiosity here, when you say importing sprite sheets do you mean simply into the editor or an event at runtime? Either one of those would be quite useful to me in the near future... I believe in to the picture editor, would have to check and see if it's at runtime.

Man as far as games that impress me personally their are a ton of them, We did a 20 event contest a few years back where you had to make a entire game in 20 event lines or less, the one cat rolled up with a full blown RTS game with less the 20 events. AMAZING.
If I remember correctly, someone even made a fully playable platformer with only one event for the contest. That was truly amazing. Yes that was pretty Cool!

MMF has exporters for a lot of environments now (XNA, iOS, Android, etc.) Will there be an exporter for Windows 8.1 modern apps (as opposed to desktop apps). I'd really like to see one. We would too, we are looking into this, and as long as doesn't effect development of CF3 we will work on it. Another option would be to use a conversion wrapper on a HTML5 output.

You can clone a sprite to a different direction in the picture editor, and you can in your eventing select which frames to play in a animation so yes you could ping pong fairly easily.

I'm not trying to be rude here or trying to discredit you guys, but when companies add their applications to the Humble Bundle they do it mainly for the cause to push people to donate to the children's fund. As I see it is that your company is not doing it for the cause, but to promote your new released product "Fusion 2.5" which many people are starting to disagree with. On your Facebook all you guys have been doing is pushing your products and not even showing a bit sympathy towards the cause. All the developers that add their game to the Humble Bundle give out their full game including updates while you guys are using it to make a quick buck. Don't you feel any type of shame with that? You guys decide what the percentage goes to the charity, Did you feel that way when WB released all the Batman games on Steam in a bundle to promote the third Arkham game? In no secret we are a business, we have a long history though of being easily accessible to our users and taking care of any issues or gripes. I haven't heard any one complain about our new product 2.5 or our Bundle promotion.
