WWII family history

Crosspost wasn't working right.
To preface this post because I know some people may be upset just due to the mention of German relatives who served: Not all members of the German armed forces during this period were members of the National Socialist Party or believed in the policies of the party. I do not know the beliefs or political positions of the German members of my family who did or did not serve in those armed forces during this conflict. I do not support National Socialist policies in any capacity - especially as an LGBT person who collects World War II memorabilia (this includes German and other nations). I strictly believe it is important to maintain these historical objects to be used for learning, keeping them out of the hands of white supremacist groups and preserving history so those that are in denial cannot say these events never happened. We must do our part to responsibly preserve history and never forget those persecuted by the Nazi party, as well as those who fought to preserve our freedoms and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Please keep any and all comments constructive.
Hello everyone! Prior to and after a trip I took with my father in June 2019, a couple weeks after the 75th anniversary of D-Day, I started heavily researching into relatives of mine that served on both sides of the conflict as part of our family immigrated from Germany in the 19th century and part stayed behind. Thanks to readily available military documents and information on the Volksbund (German War Graves Commission) I was able to gather some interesting information. The trip we took was through the Beyond Band of Brothers Tours company. I have included a link to the album of that trip below. This trip essentially followed the path of the 101st Airborne from their D-Day landings to the Battle of the Bulge. The trip was supposed to end at The Eagle's Nest, but due to an avalanche, Austria closed its borders. We instead went to Nuremberg to tour the parade grounds, documentation center and the courtroom - which I think was probably much more interesting.

My dad's uncle - Lawrence Dilley - was in the 101st, Able Company, 1st Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. He jumped on D-Day and fought up through the Battle of the Bulge where he was wounded to our knowledge. I never got an opportunity to meet him but he was awarded four Bronze Stars, two Oak Leaf Clusters and two Purple Hearts.
On the German side we had many relatives with most perishing on the Eastern Front. The two most interesting I found was one in the Wehrmacht and the other in the Kriegsmarine. I was able to locate a copy of the obituary with a photo for the person in the Wehrmacht - Arnold - who perished on the Eastern Front. He was awarded an EKII (Iron Cross, second class) and I believe some kind of Hitler Youth award. If there are any native German speakers, feel free to translate! You will do a much better job than Google :-)
Heinrich perished on U-441, a Type VIIC U-boat. It participated in 13 wolfpacks and went down with all hands in the English Channel on June 30, 1944. Sunk by depth charges dropped from a B-24 Liberator. His name can be seen on the the plaque for U-441 at the Möltenort U-Boat memorial.
